Carmine's Italian Restaurant - Times Square

Great place for family style Italian food off Broadway. The chicken parmesan was excellent, nice and thin with good sauce and cheese. Their garlic bread with cheese is a MUST for an appetizer! The wait can be a little long but well worth it.

Went for the first time with my friends about two months ago and I was blown away. I loved the decor of the restaurant and the service was excellent. Staff was very friendly and the food was really good. I especially liked the strawberry short cake it was excellent. Definitely recommend!!

The stuffed artichokes are my favorite. The appetizer comes with 2 huge ones. The eggplant parm is also delicious (light on the sauce), don't be fooled by the "side veggie" option on the menu. This portion is enormous! It's difficult to come here with 2 people but I'd still suggest it. Just know you'll be leaving with plenty of leftovers.

It was absolutely manic in there and If you don’t book expect a long wait, however it is 100% worth it. Portion sizes are huge! We shared the Sunday special (consisting of 4 different dishes) between 6 of us and a side salad and it done all of us and more! Food is delicious and authentic. Service was also good. We all said it was our favourite meal of our break and if we ever came back to NYC we would go back again.

Delicious Italian food served family style is perfect for small and large groups just off Time Square. Service was efficient and professional. Desserts looked wonderful if you have room after your meal. We didn't! Excellent wine selection too. The cavernous restaurant was packed so reservations are recommended.

Must make reservations, and then expect to wait another 30min to get a table. But totally worth it! Food and drinks begin to flow in reasonable time. Should be enjoyed by a small group of 4-6 to get half decent sample of great food and desserts. A must visit if you're in NYC.

GREAT FOOD. AND AMAZING PRICE. their food is served “family size” so ordering 1 dish could feed 2 REALLY hungry people, or 3 regularly hungry people. Highly recommend. Great food. Great location. Great price.

a bit of a tourist trap, but solid family-style Italians food. probably won’t be disappointed but there’s more authentic, intimate options for a family meal.lasagna and the meatballs are very good. solid dessert options.

Carmine's is a true Gem. YES, it is busy. YES, it is crowded. YES, it is loud. But the food.... The food is OUTSTANDING! Come here with an appetite as the family style menu is going to give you HEAPS of quality Italian classics. (See Pictures) I have been here maybe 10 times in my life and each time I have loved every part of the meal. I only wish I had a bigger capacity to hold more food, but we all have our limits.

First time visit and let me tell you super amazing!! Food was fantastic and tasted just like my Nonna's *grandma* cooking. So much food and our waiter Edwin was just awesome, prompt, and helpful. A must go and bring an appetite or extra mouths. This only gives 5 stars but it deserves 10. Can't wait to come back.

An absolutely authentic family style Italian meal. This was my second visit and everything tasted just as good as I remembered. This is a great restaurant for large groups with big appetites. I would say that this is a must stop location. And I’d recommend the Cesar Salad to anyone eating here.

This is a family style restaurant, so know that going in since I didn’t! The plates are big, so you’d think they lack flavor, but not at all! The salad was so good, it’s up in the top salads I’ve consumed, and was prefect with the dishes we ordered. Good was presented extremely well and tasted even better! Go here if you get a chance, just make sure you have a few people to help eat it all!

The service was great. The food was delicious. My friend said their side dish of potatoes was the 'best he ever had', and he's a potato nut! Our pastas were delicious, and the wine was reasonable, too.

The best Italian food I have had.. the portion size is big enough to share... It tasted authentic Italian.. The chicken parmigiana was extremely good.

Just WOW. My wife and I ate here for dinner over our anniversary in NYC and this was by far the best Italian food I've ever tasted. Amazing selection, HUGE portions, and awesome staff that not only know how to provide good service, but know everything about what they are selling. I will definitely make a trip back here again!

The food is amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful. This is my second time going and I brought my family this time, they also enjoyed it. The wait was not bad for not having reservations, however it seemed they didn't have enough waiters/waitresses working the day we were there. The first time I went they were more prompt in serving us. I would still return despite this one issue because everything else was good.

Family style eating. Good Italian food. Was told 25 minute wait, got a table in 35 minutes. They seem to always be busy but they kept things moving. Wonderful staff

Was originally unaware that the restaurant was family style, however, that being said it was fantastic! The fried zucchini appetizer was amazing and the Sunday pasta medley special was great! Make sure you go with people who have a similar taste pallet as you'll be ordering together. Eric was great and really helped us out when our table wasn't ready until 25 minutes after our reservation time. Definitely make a reservation if this is a must!

Attentive server and minimal wait with reservation booked. Centrally located to all the theaters. Food is abundantly large portioned designed to feed a crowd family style. Delicious and felt home cooked with a restaurant flair... perfect! Will be returning but will make sure to leave room for dessert.

First time here & I loved it! We had ravioli & steak with roasted potatoes & roasted vegetables. Delicious! We did not have dessert because we were full & it was late. The place was very busy for a Tuesday night-had to wait 15 minutes for a table. Will definitely be back!

Ordered from this place via Slice with the request to have it "very well done, real crispy like." Most pizza places don't understand what I mean when I say that, I mean WELL DONE. La Bellezza delivered on it. When I walked in for my pickup order it was ready to go and crisped to perfection. Great buffalo chicken slice, crust was dynamo. I will definitely be coming back to try other crispy slices.

Someone told us to come here for the best Italian food and they couldn't be more right. Family style servings and incredible service. Would love to come back here as much as I can.

We came after seeing the Rockettes. We waited a little over an hour to get seated BUT the service we received was 100% worth the wait. We were seated upstairs away from all the hustle and bustle. We ordered a lot of food and everything that I tasted was top notch. I can't wait to come back next year!

Really good pasta we got the spaghetti and it was extremely good. Their garlic bread with cheese was really good (it is like an extra $8 which our waitress did not tell us). They are family sized meaning they serve 3-4 people. We had an hour wait to get in here so I Recommend making reservations or visiting their other NY locations because they are (usually) less busy

Went there for my birthday celebration. Was pleased with every aspect of the food except for our waitress . She was an older lady who was basically MIA. Three tables who came after us were served before us and she never came to check on us. But the food was GREAT

I come here every year for a christmas reunion with my friends and food and service is always top notch! Been going there close to 10 years strong. There is a second location, i forget the exact location but Times square is the better of the two.

Went here for a family birthday with reservations for party of 8. Seated on time. I was so skeptical of this place (born and raised new yorker) and was worried it was a tourist trap. I am SO happy to say- it was one of the better meals i have had in nyc! Portions are huge- family style so bring friends. Calamari, baked clams, green salad appetizers and seafood linguine+ spaghetti meatballs w sauce , lemon chicken (INCREDIBLE)side of spinach for entrees. All were DELICIOUS. The service was great, all the food came out timely, and we left very satisfied. Would go back with a party of 8+ any day!!!

Carmines was super busy but we were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation. The calamari and fried zucchini were amazing... done perfectly!! The food and service was fast and very good. I would definitely recommend this place but make reservations.

We love Carmine's! The food is always outstanding, and the service is always second to! The portions are huge and they are served family style, so come hungry! When though it is a chain, each, and we have eaten at has so far surpassed any expectations you would have for a chain --- Everything tastes fresh and authentic, and the servers and managers actually DO care about your experience! I wish there was a Carmine's closer to my home! Try it -- You will love it!

Just moved to the neighborhood and I stopped here for a snack while shopping in Valencia. Delicious empanadas, amazing selections of meat or veggie options. If you're vegan like me they do have a few options so you're good! Service was very friendly. Seems like a family run spot. Will definitely be back for lunch or snacks next time I'm on a walk.

Carmine's is a family style restaurant meaning the plates are meant to be shared. The server will recommend how many people the dish will provide for. Most of them are for 3-4 people and can go up to 6. Reservations are highly recommended at any time. You may be able to grab a table if you are looking for a spot for two or less at the bar. The servers are very attentive, informative, and helpful finding a dish you will enjoy. Don't forget to check out what specials they have for the day.

The Chicken Marsala with spinach was so so good..The salads are up to the sky, huge .and family style, 10 stars for sure... Larger or smaller portions, you got it.. Delicious food. Wonderful night with a great staff of people.. Thank you Peter, u are the best. .Cant wait to return...

I love this restaurant, service was great and fast. Food was delicious. We had the giant porterhouse and chicken, both dishes were very tasty. I will definitely go back. And the ambience is good.

Really great food and service. We shared a caesar salad and angel hair with meatballs. Monster portions that were too large for us to finish. Great flavorful food and great service. We had reservations but they were super busy and we were seated 15 minutes late.

We were in NYC. For 3 night, tried a couple times to get in. Reserved for last night ....it was so worth the wait! Food was outstanding, service was friendly and helpful. We weren't in a hurry.....wanted to savour the experience. Great value....$180. For. 3 of us...including a great bottle of wine "duck horn". Caesar salad and seafood pasta - plenty for all of us.

Excellent place to pop into before and after the theatre. We went in before and after our matinee of Phantom of the Opera. Food is delicious. Be prepared for big plates. One dish would probably be enough between two. Drinks reasonably priced for Times Square. Staff friendly and always ready to fill your drinks.

Great service and food! Always crowded so if you are looking for a quiet night out this is not the place. Highly recommend making a reservation to ensure you get a table, especially after a Broadway show.

Phenomenal service and delicious Italian food. The lasagna is amazing with a pasta that is thin and fresh. All of the portions are big enough to share with 3-4 people. Carmine's is a great value considering the quality and the portion sizes.

Straight up old school family style Italian goodness. Come to eat as the portions are massive. Waitstaff is really friendly. The calamari was so tasty...perfectly fried. The shrimp Diablo was really good. It had enough heat to it, although I wanted a bit more punch.All in all, Carmine's delivers.

Very good. They give you really big portions. One order can feed 2 people. Don't order too much. It's super busy because of the Time Square crowd, otherwise the food is pretty good.

Great Italian restaurant in / near Times Square. Large portions as they serve family style...and they are LARGE! Two of us split the one plate and we were not able to finish it all. Atmosphere was nice and service was good.
